Monday, March 17th Photography and Patching

"It will never cease to amaze me that, with all the billions of images now digitally stored online, no two photographs taken by two different people at different times will ever be identical. It could well be the same scene or subject but the angle of view, composition, light and other variables will all ensure that that particular photograph is truly unique. Knowing this and the fact that you have captured a moment in time and space never to be repeated makes photography the fascinating and exciting hobby that it is.

The natural world provides so much beauty to be captured. The human world provides a wonderful assortment of characters and cultures. The things we see and have taken for granted in our everyday lives suddenly take on a new feeling, beauty and meaning when we view them through a lens. Our camera is the only tool which allows us to share with others the beauty and creativity our mind can see in the physical world we witness.

There is no destination, only a journey and an endless endeavor to create the next image you can be truly proud of. The era of digital photography allows us to capture endless moments in time with ease without fear of increasing cost. The traditional darkroom, replaced by computer software, allows us to unleash our creative potential to greater levels than ever before.

This is why I love photography." Dave Carter (an online photography blogger)

I thought I'd share that quote in case you ever start to wonder why I keep putting up a photo every single day.
