This big old snapping turtle was very slowly crossing Swamp Road last night as I was driving into town. I stopped and got out with my camera to take a photo.
Another car stopped and the man helped speed up the crossing by offering a small branch that the turtle clamped on to. He was then dragged to safety and we continued on our way.
